Can takin ecstacy permanantly damage your memory?

The past few months i started takin ecstacy, quite a few times a week sometimes and up to ten pills a night. After startin using it i've found i cannot remember things when i try, i often forget the names of words mid-sentence when i try to use them, and often come out with sentences which make no sense whatsoever. Could this be down to the e? and is it possible any damage done could be permanant?
